Wooooow is a 360 full dome film. It premiered and screened at the mental health focused film festival Over Exposed alongside other artist’s films in June 2024, at the Old Waiting Room in Peckham.

Wooooow looks at our world through the eyes of an extraterrestrial who visits Earth for the first time. They are endlessly awed by the (to us) insignificant details of earth-bound life. The film shows this alien’s memory constellations of our planet.

It is a simple meditation on the healing to be found in a state of wonder; in paying attention to details and noticing the beauty right in front of us. Wooooow is soundtracked by El Hardwick’s songs Laying On The Floor Staring Up At Dust In The Air and Breathing Room (feat. Laura Misch).

I wanted to work with analogue processes and everyday materials for this project. The title font is made out of glitter and glue, and the silver frames started their lives as tinfoil –  clearly the way to communicate with extraterrestrial life.

In search of footage, I went through years of videos on my phone, finding countless things that made me go wooooow; the moments when you are really seeing, and can’t help but wonder at the awesome strangeness of life.

My favourites include the beauty and weirdness of the living world, odd and amazing things humans do, and collective acts of solidarity and resistance, like the movement for a free Palestine and Trans Pride.
